Jarret Cherner Trio - Soothe the Night with Jazz

Come out June 14th and enjoy a night full of conversations amongst jazz tunes.

Brooklyn-based pianist Jarrett Cherner has emerged as one of the most compelling young musicians on the jazz scene, beginning with his fine trio debut "Burgeoning" (BaldHill) in 2006. In recent years he has devoted the bulk of his composing to the collective jazz quintet Sketches (sketchesmusic.com), which has two critically acclaimed albums to its credit: Sketches "Volume One" (BaldHill, 2013) and "Volume Two" (Brooklyn Jazz Underground, 2014). Now, with Expanding Heart, Cherner returns as leader of his own trio and sets out anew, playing brilliantly on a recording that reflects personal growth and combines original material with covers of wildly disparate songs by Vincent Rose, Otis Redding and Ornette Coleman.

Most recent album can be listened/bought here

HOW CAN I JOIN:

• Navigate here, select Jarret Cherner Trio ($15 ADV. (ON-LINE) / $18 DOOR.)

THINGS TO KNOW:

• Start time is at 7:30pm, but should arrive around 6:45pm to get a table and seats

•  Concert reservations automatically save your seats for dinner so you don’t need to make a separate dinner reservation.  Seating is on a first come first serve basis.

The Mummy-

***There is now SHOWTIME as of yet, I'll give showtime early next week***

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy. Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

What an incredible winter season it has been, and even though some resorts will remain open up thru June or July, it's time for our tahoe trips to come to an end for our 9th Season as a group!! Please, come and join us and help us close out the 2017 Season at the Bloodhound Brew-Cade in SF on Sat Apr 22 starting at 8pm.

Even though the winter season has to come an end as a group for NorCal Snowboarders, we're welcoming in the Spring & Summer events such as hiking, our Annual Camping trip, overnight hike and camp outs in Tahoe and surrounding areas. Come out and get to know us, and for those of you who are very active in NorCal Snowboarders, come out and help us celebrate the end of our 9th Season!!
